ive had theses headaches and ive been to doctors like all of my life, and they all say the smae thing. that its my blood sugar. but i know its not because uhhh after a while you kinda get a hint its something else. im not eating like crap or anything so its not that. i went to an eye doctor and he said it was because i was focusing to much (im far sighted and have a astigmatism) so does anyone else have an explnation?

Do you wear contacts or glasses? If not, you should get them. This is what could be causing your headaches. You and your eyes are straining to see, ergo, the headaches.
Also, some people are just doomed to have headaches. My friends older sister got ungodly horrible migraines a lot, and they said there was nothing wrong with her.
Stress, not eating enough, not enough sleep, pure “luck”, strained eyes…These can all apply to why you have so many headaches.
All i can say is if those mentioned above arent your problems, then you must just have a chronic headache problem.. Find a headache reliever (Excedrin: Migraine works AMAZINGLY!!) that can help you deal with them
good luck!

Question by picayune: Do you sometimes feel like walking away from the hassle of getting a Ph. D?
I am now working on my dissertation proposal in education, and it seems without help. Everything and everybody seem to say, ” You learn by doing,” but this is so frustrating and isolating that sometimes I want to just give it all up and walk away. But I am not a quitter, so I continue to trudge on. At the same time, I feel like I am spinning my wheels and getting nowhere. What helpful advice can you give me to help me keep my spirits up?

It is easy to give advice when you are not walking in the shoes of the individual. Not everyone can handle stress in the same way and not everyone is affected in the same way either. However, you are almost at the end of your journey – The end is in sight so you just need to persevere.
Nothing really worthwhile is ever achieved easily and you are so close to achieving your goal now. It’s like running your first marathon. Every muscle in your body is crying out in pain and you think you cannot go on. You want to stop but you know if you do it will be the end so you continue putting one foot in front of the other while reassuring yourself that the end is near. You said it yourself – You are not a quitter.
Keep that as your mantra together with “The end is near” and hopefully you will get through the hard times.
Best of luck in your pursuit of your Ph.D.
